As soon you walked in you stepped in Greece. It’s like a portal where you can travel there with gorgeous easy listening Greek music and AC in the garden! Perfect for this heat wave in NYC. The service, the food, the atmosphere it’s superb! Thank you Cleo and the chef!

Just finished a truly wonderful lunch at Ambrosia Garden, an authentic Greek gem that transports you straight to the Mediterranean. The ambiance is warm and traditional, but it’s the food that truly steals the show. We started with a special of crispy fried zucchini paired with velvety Greek yogurt—light, golden, and perfectly seasoned. Then came the bouyiourdi, a baked feta dish served bubbling hot in a clay pot with sweet bell peppers and tomatoes. The blend of creamy, salty, and sweet was absolutely addictive. For the main course, I had the “Arni”, a slow-roasted lamb shoulder served with herbed potatoes. It was melt-in-your-mouth tender, seasoned to perfection, and full of deep, rich flavor. Each bite felt like it had been cooked with love and tradition. Ambrosia Garden is a must-visit for anyone craving true Greek comfort food. I’ll definitely be coming back. It’s rainy day and this food and music and service are just amazing Wonderful staff just gave me sweet dessert amazing orange cake which I love !! 10/10 highly recommended

My friend and I went out for some drinks and ordered a cocktail that just wasn’t our vibe — nothing wrong with it, just not our taste. We were ready to pay and leave politely… but then the owner showed up. And let me tell you — there was no way he was letting us walk out unhappy! He insisted on making us a new drink tailored to what we like. The level of hospitality, care, and genuine kindness was something you don’t see every day. The interior is so beautiful — and the owner? A true gentleman. 10/10 energy. I never leave reviews, bad nor good, but this deserves a review Thank you again, we’ll definitely be back!

Dinner meet with my colleagues after work. When we entered the front section of the restaurant was surprisingly empty. Little did we know that there is an amazing garden in the back. Wow , wow! I had the fish filet, with fries , we had the octopus from the appetizer menu )wasn’t really our kind of flavor), we also had the shrimp and the Greek salad. The service was amazing! Definitely visiting again

What a gem !! A foodie friend of mind highly recommended this place and I’m glad I took her advice! Walking into the intimate space, one is immediately transported back to Greece. I felt like I was back in my beloved Crete- one of the best places I have ever visited. From the food to the atmosphere to the staff, it was theatre for the senses. Will definitely be back!! Just a great homey Greek restaurant in Astoria. The vibe was low key and service was super friendly and helpful. The food was excellent with the lamb chops being my favorite. The complementary orange cake at the end was outstanding as well!! A great spot to catch up with friends.

We had such a great experience, everything was delicious, finally a Greek restaurant in the neighborhood with a different menu, something new. Everything is very tasty, recipes directly from the owner’s grandma. The orange cake they gave us as complimentary desserts was incredible. They renovated the whole restaurant and did such a great job, lovely cozy atmosphere. It really feels like you’re stepping into a villa in Greece. I don’t usually write reviews but this place needed a shout out! We will definitely come back!

The food is absolutely delicious, the service is great, and the atmosphere is really nice! I love the way the restaurant is laid out to look like a narrow street in Greece. We ordered slow cooked beef and braised lamb, and both dishes were excellent. There was a complimentary dessert at the end of the meal that was also very tasty. It was a great spot for a date and we were very impressed. We are sure to return!
